BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING

January 2, 2008

I. Call to Order

A. The meeting was called to order at 7:05 pm

C.  Approved the December meeting minutes.

II.  Open Forum

1.   MPO James R.Nida, Crime Prevention Office, Franconia District Station, gave a briefing on Neighborhood Watch.  He stressed that there is no need for organized patrols and he asked us to add information to our web site so that the neighborhood is informed.  He also said that there is neighborhood watch training; he also stressed that anytime anyone sees anyone or anything suspicious, if it is not an emergency, to call the Fairfax Policy non-emergency phone number at 703 922 2131.  

III.  Old Business

Firelanes.

Greg Budnic, who works for GJB Engineering, presented the architectural plan with revised parking and some additional signage.  The Board agreed to review the plan and give any comments within a day or two so this plan could be presented to the County.

IV.  Contracts

1.   We reviewed a security proposal to add a security system to the clubhouse/pool area, with six cameras from Baldino’s. 

2.   Cardinal Management is soliciting proposals from landscape companies.
